The End is Nigh!

Again! Across the centuries a constant stream of prophets, seers and mystics have predicted an imminent End of the World, God’s Last Judgment or Armageddon. Well, they’re back.

Welcome to 20/12 Monitor, your interactive guide to the coming Apocalypse.

Depending on who you listen to and what you believe the fateful day will now fall on December the 21st, 2012. On that day the world will end… or not. Less than a decade ago, at the turn of the century, we were warned to expect all of the computers on Earth to shut down due to lack of foresight on the part of computer designers. The Y2K Bug, as it became known, accreted all manner of apocryphal, millennial and ‘end time’ prophecies, none of which came to pass. Even the computer bug scare proved to be a damp squib and the world failed to end… again.

It wasn’t until after the uneventful Y2K had passed that catastrophists and evangelists alike turned their attention to the 2012 prophecy and pretty soon there were 2012 websites popping up like mushrooms.

Some claim that temporal slippage, caused by errors in our modern calendar accumulated over time, resulted in the millennial start point being off by almost two years and that the true beginning of the end was September 11th, 2001. Given the nature, politics and geographical locations of the ensuing events it could be said that Armageddon is already under way.

According to researchers and students of the Mayan Calendar, the I-Ching, The Book of Revelation, Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce and a whole host of latter day seers, soothsayers, shamans, mystics, psychics and channels the corrected date of the Apocalypse has been identified. Astrologers, alternative historians, archeo-astronomers, new age writers, speakers and even a handful of legitimate scientists are now convinced that something immensely significant, whether for good or ill or both, will occur on or around December 21st, 2012.

The biblical Book of Revelation predicts Armageddon and the End of Time but without providing a date. The word apocalypse is interchangeable with the word revelation, both meaning the exposure or uncovering of something hitherto unknown or hidden. Perhaps the divine revelation to humanity of universal truths and the ‘meaning of life’? Optimists hope that December 21st, 2012 will bring about a spontaneous quantum leap in our DNA, a spiritual transcendence for all mankind and an ascension to a higher state of being.

Fundamentalists of most religious persuasions genuinely expect God’s exaltation of the faithful and the destruction of the rest. Variously referred to as Judgment Day, TheTribulation and The Rapture, for them 2012 will be the literal End of Time.

Pragmatists and skeptics, those that give the end date any credence at all, look to an acceleration and convergence of discoveries in physics, astronomy, geology, technology, science, genetics and medicine. Could the rapidly mounting sine curve of discovery and invention turn vertical on December 21st, 2012 and all that remains to be known becomes known, all on the same day, most of it in the last three seconds?

Convergence or concrescence are words seen frequently apropos 2012, the suggestion is that world events in every area of life are ramping up towards one major cataclysm on the predicted date. As the frequency of ‘ingression of novelty into space time’ described by Terence McKenna increases exponentially the resulting graph indicates a curve that must ultimately turn vertical.

Eschatology is a part of theology and philosophy concerned with what are believed to be the final events in history, or the ultimate destiny of mankind, commonly referred to as the End of the World. Almost every religion on Earth includes some kind of End Times prophecy in which God exacts divine judgment on humanity. Mayan Calendar researcher, Terence McKenna, discovered a definite pattern within the King Wen sequence of the I-Ching that he identified as mapping “the intrusion of novelty into space time”, a waveform with peaks and troughs that correlate to many of the most significant dates in history that he named the Timewave.

20/12 Monitor is your Timewave dashboard and navigational aid. The Timewave or Eschaton is a graph describing ‘the ingression of novelty into space time’ tracking backwards across thousands of years of history and projecting a short distance into the future.

Frequency23.net provides the most accurate diagram of the Timewave available. In theory we should be able to map these novelty intrusions as they occur in the ramping up to 2012 and qualify them as either positive or negative events and rate them in intensity.

Convergence is a key word in approaching the entire 2012 paradox because it is clear from the spectrum of human opinion displayed on the Internet and in the media that a thousand threads, both spiritual and secular, that were once far apart are indeed beginning to converge. The intense focus of interest in 2012 comes from all disciplines across the board and as they blend and merge we see the prophetic picture start to shift and blur.

It is said that humanity has a collective subconscious through which we create reality by manifestation, unanimity of expectation brings about fulfillment of that expectation. If we collectively expect disaster and catastrophe then that is what we’ll get. If on the other hand we all expect and hope for transcendence then that may be our outcome and our salvation in 2012.

The purpose of this site is to track the 2012 phenomena from now until 2013 after which, one way or another, we may all be out of a job. 20/12 Monitor is not about re-inventing the wheel, everything you could possibly want to know about the 2012 topic already exists somewhere on the Internet, the intention is to provide a portal through which the best of the disparate information, (and some patently bogus disinformation), can be accessed.

Threats would be those things most likely to cause or have already caused massive loss of life and/or liberty. Most of the prophecies that are now attaching themselves to 2012 promise catastrophe of one kind or another running the gamut from pole reversal and shifting continental plates to asteroid strikes

Novelty is harder to gauge but the question that moves the meter is, “How unusual is this event?” On a scale of one to ten is it another random bizarre occurrence, a coincidence, a synchronicity or a paradigm changing, world altering blockbuster?

Hope that we never see both needles on the far right, hitting a full 10, because that would indeed be the end of the world.

In 1987 Jose´Argüelles published a book called The Mayan Factor, in which he brought the 2012 end point of the Mayan Calendar’s thirteen-baktun, 5,125 year cycle to the attention of the world at large. It was the extraordinary correlation of this and the work of Terence McKenna on the I-Ching Timewave, two ancient prophetic systems from opposite sides of the planet, that gave the 2012 question a big push towards the mainstream.

An often hysterical and always sensationalist media, owned and run by the ruling elite, latched on entirely to the negative and catastrophic aspects. In Roland Emerich’s ‘2012’, that launched on November 15th, 2009, we were treated to cataclysmic CGI global destruction, devastating asteroid storms, massive earthquakes, immense tidal waves, solar eruptions, the entire catalogue of total extinction scenarios. At the end of the movie all there was left were a few thousand rich and powerful people riding in ‘Arks’ to land on the only continent left, Africa, (Africa?). The film went quickly to cable and DVD.

However, thousands of people worldwide seem to be preparing, in one way or another, for the End of Days. A quick Google search of 2012 turns up nearly 300,000 hits and YouTube hosts over 65,000 clips warning viewers of their fate in 2012. The topic is now so popular as to have spawned it’s own book in the Complete Idiot’s Guide series, ‘The Complete Idiot’s Guide to 2012’.

It is still unclear whether the ancient Maya actually regarded this date to be the end of life on Planet Earth, the end of Time as we know it, or simply the end of an Era or an Age. Most scholars and academics lean toward the latter, the day after December 31st, 2012 will be January 1st, 2013, the end of one calendar year and the start of another, no more or less catastrophic than usual.

However, the Apocalypse refuses to release it’s grip on the profane imagination of our culture and they are heavily outnumbered by the millions of people who are anticipating events of biblical proportions. The grim possibilities are endless, global disasters on a scale unseen in living memory, earthquakes, volcanoes, massive tidal waves and flooding, extreme weather, magnetic pole reversal triggering the next ice age, solar storms devastating all our electronic technology, asteroid strikes on a par with those that exterminated the dinosaurs and even a close encounter with Planet X are all on a growing list of predicted calamities about to befall the human race.

As if all those were not serious enough threats to humanity there are disastrous events already very evident in the world; wars, droughts, famines, disease, imminent financial collapse, environmental poisoning and global warming resulting in all manner of sickness and deprivation. Power, greed, religious intolerance and the psychotic self interest of the ruling elite manipulates world conflict through fear, false flag war crimes and the invention of demonic enemies. The collective human psyche is besieged by current world events pointing inexorably towards impending doom.

What’s needed is renewed hope for a New Age and not the repression of spirit and slavery to a New World Order cynically peddled in the guise of ‘increased security’.

HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS Living in the third dimension can be a blissful experience when you have power, health, wealth, comforts and freedom. The ultimate goal of the ruling families is not only one world government. It is complete mastery over the 3rd dimension of time and space. The Universal Law of Attraction is working in your life right now. You are attracting the personal situations that you are experiencing. You are also attracting the global situations through your individual contribution to the collective mass consciousness. Think about what you are contributing. Once you are aware of this Universal Law and how it works, you can start to use it deliberately to attract what you want instead of what you don't want.

Any thought you have, when combined with emotion, vibrates out from you to the universe. Like a boomerang, it returns whatever you focus on. The ruling families are in a race with time to manifest mastery over the third dimension...but something is happening "right now" that they hadn't counted on. There is a transformation in human consciousness leading up to December 21, 2012. A 'galactic alignment' is expected to occur on that date which will mark the end of the 26,000-year Mayan calendar. Mayan timekeepers predict that Earth and humanity are being birthed into a dramatic and unified elevation in consciousness.

CHANGING YOUR BELIEFS

You are made up of billions and billions of "programmed" beliefs about what is real and what’s not real, what you should or shouldn’t be or wear or say or do.
